I have started to use and explore Egg tempera in early 2002 !
Its lots of fun, but can also be very frustrating,
as anything new usually is !
Egg tempera, the art of painting before oil paint was invented,
eg: until the end of 'Quatro Cento'.
Botticelli was one of the last painters to use it.
What is Egg tempera ?
Its painting with pigments using Egg yolk as the medium.
I find it settles best when I can sit it for a few days in the sunshine.
